Consequences
If the ETM is accessible to other individuals, it can create serious problems within the relationships of the victims such as domestic violence, bullying, blackmail, and so on. The ease of these issues increase with such technology, as they can use emotional difficulties as a way to hurt an individual. Severity of mental and physical abuse can lead to self harm and possibly suicide, especially when the perpetrator knows the psychological state of the victim. As the technology improves, the consequences would become greater
High levels of security are needed to avoid such undesirable consequences. We plan to make this App available only to select individuals based on their professional need to help people undergoing an mental health episode and their level of responsibility to public safety, such as a school nurse, EMT’s, and law enforcement personnel. Even such personnel will receive access after some training in the use of the App. The access will be only available through pre-authenticated devices. The user will be allowed to access the AI machine using such a device only through a VPN established after two level authentication which is tied to a secondary authenticated device.
