Polychiral MWCNTs could be used in conjunction with other photovoltaic materials within a solar cell. This could further boost the efficiency of traditional photovoltaic cells by employing the high electrical conductivity and wide absorption spectrum of CNTs, as well as lead to the creation of entirely new cells created by combining the MWCNTs with other nanomaterials.  

 

The polychiral MWCNT solar cell will be applicable for commercial use worldwide. Due to the low energy necessary for production, both time and cost would be saved, leading to larger availability.
