EEG & AI

 A simple, waterproof, kid-friendly interactive ADHD Buddy watch for kids with ADHD that will significantly improve time management and focus while addressing behavioral challenges. We will use Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs) to read EEG signals for direct communication between the brain and EEG leads to interpret brain activity.

Researchers found that ADHD children have increased activity between subcortical regions and the frontal cortex, which controls attention, planning, and impulse control.

Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs)

BCIs use EEG signals for direct brain-device communication, with AI interpreting brain patterns to

monitor cognitive states and detect signs of anxiety, stress, or depression for early intervention.

Safety Features

​ -    Emergency button for ADHD kids to call for help or send alerts to parents if they feel anxious, stressed, or unsafe

 -    GPS that allow parents to track the child’s location, which can be reassuring for families

-   Earpiece connected to the ADHD Buddy watch to listen to music/voices/stories to calm an agitated child

EEG Signals and AI

We propose using wireless EEG leads near the frontal lobe to transmit brain signals to the ADHD Buddy watch, which, through a brain-computer interface (BCI) and AI, decodes the data in real-time to predict behaviors and activate behavioral modification tools witch include: 

​

  • Mindfulness Exercises: Short, guided exercises (breathing, stretching, or short meditation) that can help kids with ADHD calm down, refocus, and manage impulsivity.​

  • ​​Music : play favorite music or voices of mom/dad (or favorite people) to calm the child in stressful situations​)
