Contact Lenses for preventing seizures
The Problem
Photosensitive epilepsy is a brain disorder that affects many people. It results in them experiencing seizures due to flashing lights, patterns, and bright lights. A lot of the current treatments have major side effects.
Our Solution
PEC lenses are contact lenses designed to avoid seizures by using electrical components and a wearable device to warn the user of a possible seizure. Our lenses are noninvasive and have little to no side effects.
The Plan
Since many current therapies have major side effects or cons, we hope to create an affordable product that will be available to everyone with no major risks. Our goal for PEC Lenses is that it'll improve the user's quality of life, prevent seizures, and reduce stress caused by seizures triggered by light.
