PURPOSE
The Problem
Cancer remains a global health challenge, with leukemia claiming thousands of lives annually. This blood cancer is challenging to detect as it does not typically form solid tumors.

Diagnosis is expensive, takes a long time to process, and is not very efficient if someone doesn’t have a family history but still shows symptoms. These diagnoses are often vague and show non-specific symptoms, which can easily be mistaken for another disease or condition, resulting in the need for more specialized testing.
The Solution
This insight led us to develop a screening tool, LeukoTrace, for the biomarker BCR-ABL1 fusion protein. We hope to advance the fight against leukemia and move closer to precision medicine, ultimately reducing the disease’s impact on global health.
