Consequences

We all need to have areas that are quiet and calm spaces that improve our health. With all new technology there are pros and cons. The negatives of RMF would be the cost and time to produce each plant or tree. They would need to be custom made for the area. RMF would need to withstand all weather conditions and to make sure that wildlife is not affected. It may be difficult to recycle parts that no longer work. There are many more positives to absorbing sounds with RMF.

Special Needs: Adults and children with diagnosed disorders like autism and sensory processing disorder are especially sensitive to loud noises. People will no longer need to wear something extra to block out sounds. RMF is also good for people that suffer with pollen allergies.

Health: Human-made noises are constant and loud.  It can have an effect on humans and animals over long periods of time. Having quiet spaces will reduce hearing loss, sleep deprivation, cardiovascular disease, and the risk of mental illness.

Conversations: People can also put plants in their home so they do not have to hear others' conversations.  Shared spaces like schools, offices, and hospitals could also block private conversations from being overhead.

Environmentally Friendly: RMF allows animals to move from habitat to habitat without running into a physical barrier. CO2 is removed from the atmosphere and stored inside the tree, where is can be used for future fuel or product. These plants do not use a natural resource, water.

Visual Appearance: RMF looks natural. Our invention will resist graffiti that is often seen on sound barrier walls.
