Prototype iSWARM Rover
Prototype iSWARM WASP
The iSWARM system acts as the eyes and ears of the farmer, sending all kinds of valuable data back wirelessly to them through the iSWARM application. The smartphone/tablet app can be configured to either make a recommendation for corrective action or it can be set up to take action automatically. It can sample soil for moisture or nutrient problems using its patented SST (Soil Sampling Tube) technology. Also, the ultra-miniature wireless, biodegradable drone known as the Wireless Agriculture Sensor Platform (WASP) can get close up to individual plants and look for insect damage or leaf discoloration…

Between our solar-powered Rover, and its swarm of power efficient WASPs, the whole farm can be monitored in real-time, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!

The WASPs can cover ground much more quickly than a human on foot and are great for identifying larger crop patterns before they become a problem. Unlike prior systems, the WASPs use their advanced sensors, unmatched mobility and the iSWARM intelligence to identify the underlying cause of crop problems. This includes issues with hydration, fertilization, insect damage, soil nutrient deficiencies, and more!
Since the Rover can analyze soil in the field, direct the WASPs and collect all of their sensor data, problem areas are detected as they occur! With all of this sensing and analysis capability, iSWARM helps the farmer fix small problems before they become big problems. And at the end of the day, the WASPs return to dock at the solar-powered Rover to re-charge their batteries.
