What is the problem?

There's so many treatments available already...

  1. Current technology that forecast seizures, do not actually detect seizures before they occur. They detect them after occurrence, and lack predictive features. They also rely on only a few factors, like sweat, heart-rate, and movement or jerking of the muscles. This is not applicable to all seizures, because not all symptoms are obvious. This is likely to cause false positives.

2. Forecasting devices do not offset seizures immediately. They alert others, but do not attempt to prevent them in real-time. Others that do offset seizures, like VNS are on and never turn off. This can provide a degree of inconvenience.
