This 3D prototype compares a normal poplar tree vs a tree genetically engineered to overexpress wild-type Rubisco Activase (RCA) vs a tree genetically engineered to overexpress thermostable RCA. Overexpression of RCA protein leads to greater Rubisco activation, more carbon fixation, faster photosynthesis rate, and more plant growth as measured by greater plant biomass (volume of leaves).
