Mycelial Batteries
Mycelial Batteries are our vision for the future of energy, which allows devices that rely on batteries to function sustainably without harming the planet.
How do Mycelial Batteries work?
In our Mycelial Batteries, the lithium ions (Li+) that are currently being used in batteries will be replaced with sodium ions (Na+). The electrolyte will be replaced with a live fungal species, and portobello mushroom flakes will be used as anode material. This will increase lifespan and storage capacity of the battery, while reducing degradation.
