  • A part of Evo-On that is required for Evo-On to become a reality is the Mo-Cap, diet recognizing camera.

  • A breakthrough for a Mo-Cap, diet recognizing camera would be camera equipped with an AI system that recognizes people's diets.

  • A second part of Evo-On required for Evo-On to become a reality is the ability for a hologram projection in the air.

  • A breakthrough for the ability for hologram projection would be a hologram/light projection advancement that was cost effective.

  • A third part of Evo-On required for Evo-On to become a reality is the cooking laser.

  • A breakthrough for a cooking laser would be a laser equipped with AI with the ability to cook or bake anything to the user's preference.

Consequences

Chef Preparing Food

  • A positive consequence of Evo-On if it was created today food insecurity in the United States would be eliminated.

  • A second positive consequence of Evo-On would be that people would eating healthier.

  • People would be eating healthier because Evo-On only use plant and insect proteins which have been proven to be healthier.

  • A negative consequence of Evo-On if it was created today would be many chefs would be out of their jobs.

  • Chefs would be out of their jobs because everyone has access to Evo-On and Evo-On does not use chefs.

  • A second negative consequence of Evo-On if it was created today meat would not be used by Evo-On.  Other markets would have to be found.

Design Process

NASA Food 3D Printer

nasa_food_printer2.jpeg
  • We started out with a food 3D printer using only plant waste to create food.

  • After researching, we found there was no information of plant waste being consumed by a human.

  • Later we found the Foodini which helped us a lot with the early stages of Evo-On.

  • Then we came across an article which gave us inspiration to replace our failed plant waste idea with plant and insect solutions.

  • We had troubles with Evo-On not being 10 years in advance so, we changed from a touch screen user interface to a hologram projection user interface.

  • Second, we added a self cleaning system.

  • Third, we added a Mo-Cap, diet recognizing camera.

  • Fourth, we changed from a convectional heating system to a cooking laser.

  • After the second mentor night, we changed from many small solution tubes to few umbilical tubes.

  • Second, we added a microphone to make ordering easier for the user.

  • The last feature we added to Evo-On was a human diagnostic system that would be equipped with Mo-Cap, diet recognizing camera.
