EpiKit Glasses
#1 Inner Lenses: Multi-Colored
The first layer of glasses is lenses that are made up of 4 thin colored layers: blue, yellow, orange, and red-tinted lenses. We learned these colored lenses block blue, green, and violet light from reaching your eyes. These bright and flashing colored lights that often come when using electronic devices can trigger seizures. That is why this layer of Epikit lenses blocks these harmful lights.
#2 Middle Lenses: FL-41
The FL-41 is the second layer of the lenses. These pink-tinted lenses block out fluorescent lights so it’s not irritating to the eyes and help prevent seizures from starting.

#3 Outer Lenses: Polycarbonate
Finally, the outermost layer of lenses is made of polycarbonate. Polycarbonate is transparent and is the finishing lens, commonly used for sunglasses to block out bright light.

The Complete EpiKit
Our Glasses: When the 3 lenses combine into our product, the glasses will block out flashing lights, bright sunlight, and any irritating seizure-causing light, providing safety and a lesser chance of seizures.
The EEG (Electroencephalogram) in our watch constantly monitors and records brain wave activity so it can predict if you’re going to have a seizure. Instead of the EEG placed on your head, we put a small chip in the watch that picks up electrical activity in the brain through the nerves in your arm. If abnormal brainwave activity is detected, the person is alerted they are about to have a seizure.
The VNS (Vagus Nerve Stimulation) technology in our watch can prevent seizures by sending regular, mild pulses of electrical energy to the brain. If the sensors find an abnormal vital sign, the VNS sensor will be alerted to do its job. An example of an epileptically abnormal vital sign is extremely low blood sugar. When these signs take place, the VNS sensor will pick them up and send pulses of electrical energy to the brain through the vagus nerve in your arm. This may prevent or lessen seizures. If you are about to have a seizure you can have the watch send extra stimulation to the brain which can help stop the seizure.
