How The Energy Recovery Motor Works

  • The Tesla Model S has motors for the front and back wheels, where there is an induction motor and an inverter. The inverter converts the DC power from the battery pack into AC power that the motor uses. The induction motor works by using rotating magnetic fields to rotate a metal rotor. The downside to the Tesla is that they require superchargers with charging equipment designed for the Tesla. These Superchargers are not portable and cannot be easily accessed worldwide. There are only 1,043 charging stations in the world, not sufficient to sustain a world with only electric cars. Although there are others opening, Superchargers are not the best solution to climate change caused by vehicles.

  • We want to add an alternator to the front and back motors of the Tesla. An alternator works by rotating a rotor with 10-20 magnetic poles in a copper coil. DC power generates in the coils and exits through coils, leading into a battery.  In our case, the power travels back out through the battery and goes into the inverter, which transforms it into AC power. Using this method, we can prolong battery life most effectively.

  • The Energy Recovery Motor works by using a new and improved type of alternator to convert the mechanical energy into electrical energy. It incorporates silver coils instead of using copper ones to create higher conductivity and reduce the weight of the alternator.

  • The two smaller alternators of the Energy Recovery Motor will be attached to the two motors mounted on each axle of the vehicle, meaning that the alternators will harness the mechanical energy from the rotation of the axles, and produce an almost continuous loop of electricity.

  • The electricity travels back into the battery to conserve energy and to prolong battery life.

  • Our technology will reduce the need for energy from power plants and make gasoline powered cars a thing of the past.

This innovation will preserve our planet for future generations and that will provide benefits to the whole world including the reduction of CO2 emissions and electrical bills, along with overall efficiency.
