CLARI is made with a series of parts. Such as virtual reality goggles that have a screen inside that show the child what is happening at school, a microphone that makes whatever the CLARI say what the student says.

The child operating CLARI also needs to have sensor gloves. These gloves allow the child to feel what the robot feels.

Then, there is the most important part of CLARI. The CLARI itself! The CLARI robot has built in sensors on it that connect to the child’s wired suit. 

CLARI has cameras in its eyes that connect to the screen inside the headset. CLARI has a speaker in its throat which allows whatever the child says to come out of their robots mouth. The robots lips move according to what the child says. So that it looks like the robot is actually talking and will make other students feel comfortable.

CLARI has built in sensors all over its body that allow it to feel when it gets a hug. The child controlling CLARI  will wear clothes that have the sensors on them so they also know if they're being hugged or anything else. 

The CLARI robot also has flexible joints that allow it to not have jerky movements and allow it to imitate human motions.
