CiliaBuilder is our vision for a new-generation hearing implant, a self-attaching prosthetic that requires only an injection to begin hearing restoration.

How Does CiliaBuilder Work?

In the human cochlea, microscopic hairs called stereocilia receive vibrations, which are converted into nerve signals that the brain registers as sound. Over time, these hairs become degraded from daily use, which leads to hearing loss. CiliaBuilder elongates these hairs, restoring hearing sensitivity.
