The first 3D printing technology was developed in 1980, under the name "rapid prototyping".
The first MRI machine and scans were
designed by Dr. Raymond Damadian in 1974.
In the late 19th century, calcium phosphate ceramics were used as a basic bone substitute.
3D printing is well integrated in fields ranging from medicine to technology and engineering.
An indispensable part of modern medicine, MRI scans are utilized in hospitals worldwide.
