The ADHD Med Watch is designed to help kids with ADHD function all day with minimal side effects. Instead of a single dose of medicine that you take in the morning and afternoon, this delivers a continuous dose of medication though a watch. The reservoir or medicine is controlled using a current from the watch, forcing it through microneedles in a patch placed on the wrist. The timer on the watch controls when the medication is delivered, allowing parents or users to program the watch to stop delivering medication an hour before lunch and an hour before dinner as well as turn off before bedtime. Controlling when medication is delivered will help eliminate the side effects of reduced appetite and sleeplessness. The ADHD Watch combines a timed delivery with a trans-dermal patch to achieve optimal doses of medicine when its needed for focus, with minimal side-effects.

WHAT IS A TRANSDERMAL PATCH?

A transdermal patch is used to deliver medication through the skin. An adhesive patch containing medication is placed onto the skin, and a specified dose is then absorbed through the skin and into the bloodstream. Several types of patches exist including a reservoir, drug-in-adhesive, multilaminate, and matrix.

WHAT IS A MICRONEEDLE?

Microneedles penetrate the upper layers of skin and they do not reach the deeper nerve endings. This makes the use of microneedles painless. Microneedles put medicines into the outer layers of skin.

HOW TO USE IT?

Each morning you will apply a new patch to a site on your wrist. It's best to move the site to reduce the risk of irritation. The small metal snap will connect to the watch and allow the watch to control the current to the patch. The current will deliver the medicine throughout the day. The watch will turn the medication on and off around mealtimes and bedtime. Changes to the schedule can be made on the watch or with the ADHD Watch App allowing you to adjust the times the medication is delivered based on your daily schedule and when you need control.
