The Problem

Global cooling systems, fans, pumps, and HVAC loops consume trillions of watts fighting heat that has no preferred direction. Data centers alone spend 30 - 40% of their power just on cooling. The MGTD gives heat a direction. Passively. Permanently. Without power.

The Physics

At gaps smaller than 10 micrometers, electromagnetic waves tunnel heat across space — and the direction of that transfer depends on which material faces the hot side.

The Proof

We built a precision thermal apparatus, ran overnight experiments under partial vacuum, and measured 6.7% thermal rectification — statistically significant at
