Depression Assistance in Senior Years
About Me

Our Vision

Many older adults suffer from depression, and adopting a pet is proven to negate feelings of isolation and loneliness, as well as provide many other health benefits. However, many elderly people worry that they will not be able to take care of a pet. We propose a robotic pet that will simulate the companionship of a live pet. D.A.I.S.Y. (Depression Assistance In Senior Years) will be able to independently interact with its owner and respond to human emotions. This robotic pet will benefit the mental and physical health of elderly people without the cost and care of a living pet.
